Adults also need to play.

What happened today was the first revelation. Part of this work is to establish myself in real life: what is natural, wholehearted and rooted in wisdom. I need to consciously shake off any unnatural, life-defying heebie-jeebies, these days.
With the help of a Toltec-inspired Warrior Heart Practice, gracefully brought into our western culture through Heatherash Amara, a woman whose writing resonates deeply with me, I found my first intention.
If I can take you back to The Cover-Up, you might see the female body as a battleground between right and wrong. This is being played out in the world too, notably with the needs of women being defined by a few individuals and our status being stripped back in America and online. All the injustices that have been committed against our bodies disturbs the natural balance.
Instead, I seek the wisdom of nature to restore what is lawful. Today, I made a promise that took me to the sunny side of the water's edge. Here the sun kissed my face, as skaters & water nymphs danced in delight. Sat on a log, I committed myself to five minutes of just Being. It was not hard work. For the chorale of birds against the rush of the weir replaced the dull ache of modernity, like a divine lullaby, my mind thirsty for their untrained song.
What came next was heartfelt laughter between me and my dog. We found play in our natural world and this is exactly what is needed. The medicine that this place brought to us reflects much of what goes on in the Meditative Art workshops: the natural order of things, restored. This time, it brought about laughter but, on another day, who knows what calling will be met, but whatever it brings comes naturally.
On Saturday, you are invited to a taster session at 3.00pm. Just send me a message and I will confirm your place.
